The Story Garden

Give your children the opportunity to discover their inner rhythms in a beautiful and nurturing environment. The Story Garden is a process designed to nurture a child’s imagination and self-expression through utilizing the healing tools of art, movement, and imagination.

According to the lens offered by Rudolph Steiner, the first seven years of life are critical to both the optimum development and the future well-being of a child. During this protective stage, also known as the second birth, children are in close contact with unseen creative forces. This invisible interfacing can be tracked through a child’s drawings; when successfully completed, this creative process lays the essential alignment to live the story encoded in the heart. The Story Garden offers an “artful” experience to support all children in this universal and cross-cultural experience.

As an expressive artist and educator, I began my work with children in 1977. I have taught and directed several children’s programs on both the West and East Coasts. I specialize in creating environments that nurture self-expression, creative potential, imagination, and the ability to envision. My work is both colored and integrated with the story and the expressive arts. I enjoy developing programs that allow the imaginative spirit to soar, giving those involved the opportunity to discover — within themselves — who they are and what they can become.

As an artist, educator, and parent, I invite you to join me in enriching our children’s lives so they can learn to “fly.”
